The VANCE ANG’LE is always keen to learn about new training concepts and of late has been made aware of a new methodology known as Caveman Training™ which was originally created by Scott Ramsdell from API (Athletic Performance Inc.) in Minnesota USA, this intense new training technique has been only recently acquired by the talented folks at Executive Results in Brisbane. 

Adopted by INBA figure sensation, Anna Junghans the CAVEMAN TRAINING concept or approach as it is correctly termed is definitely revolved around practicality, and almost resorting back to man’s own primal instinct.  Therefore exercises are highly functional, with routines utilized only if they will work and ultimately get the desired results – in fact the main motto is ‘Commit….No Excuses.’  This is where traditional strength training is mixed with the non traditional, thereby fusing Olympic power lifts with plyometrics; cardio training is also implemented with both sprint style and long slow methods thrown in for good measure.

Sporting a stunning smile and stunning body, the vibrant Anna Junghans has adopted this training to serve her clients as well as to add to her already muscular physique.   When asked about how this new training has impacted on her own methods Anna told The VANCE ANG’LE:  “Proper nutrition plays a critical role in performance.  I EAT FOR PERFORMANCE  with such high intensity exercising added to my training schedule, back to basics is the key, no fad or extreme dieting, 40% complex carbs, 30% fats & 30% protein. Having these 3 macronutrients in balance will keep you at peak performance and maintain relatively low body fat levels, just on a lighter note, everyone is different when it comes to metabolism and so forth, so what works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another.”   Once an unfit lady, Anna body gained much praise as a figure competitor at the INBA show in Brisbane last year, and now she trains a multitude of clients in activities ranging from endurance races, 12 week challenges and of course bodybuilding.  The inclusion of Caveman Training™ is yet another element of Anna’s own unique methods, and she’s definitely one to keep an eye out for on the bodybuilding circuit!
